Summary:

The Corporate Communications Manager, based in Clayton or RTP, is a multi-functional role within the Global Corporate Communications Department. The Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the creation of executive communication initiatives for internal audiences, including strategy and content creation through all primary communication delivery forms, including print, digital and video. The Manager also supervises the Clayton-based Communications Specialist.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Develops and executes communication plans, strategic initiatives and creative campaigns for internal audiences, ensuring messaging and brand consistency.

● Leads delivery of Employer Branding workshops, cascading key corporate messages to internal stakeholders.

● Develops and executes communication plans, strategic initiatives and creative campaigns for internal audiences, ensuring messaging and brand consistency.

● Builds and maintains strong relationships with key leaders and business partners across the global organization to identify and/or respond to content needs and assist with creation, development and execution of strategies that help build brand loyalty, employee engagement and shared company culture.

● Provides strategic communications counsel to senior leadership.

● Creates materials and supports delivery of North American Town Hall meetings and Leadership meetings together with the Content and Events team.

● Activates and coordinates global team to respond to crisis situations that take place in North America.

● Serves as liaison between North America leaders/business partners and the global Corporate Communications Team (Branding, Digital, External, Content and Events).

● Supervises Communications Specialist, providing day-to-day oversight as well as long-term career development.

● Manages vendor relationships in North America, ensuring compliance with and adherence to all Procurement and Legal policies

● Supports global Corporate Communications Team with execution of North America-based projects.

● Serves as an active member of the Corporate Communications Team, providing creative brainstorming and problem solving for multiple internal projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

● Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop strong networks and relationships.

● Self-starter, able to drive high volume of work to completion with minimum input.

● Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.

● Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.

● Ability to stay professional and flexible in a dynamic and changing environment.

● Must be able to learn and develop sufficient knowledge of the company's business and priorities to ensure accurate, on-message content.

● Knowledge of brand guidelines and how to apply them to content and collateral development.

● Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or closely related field is required.

● At least 6 years related corporate communications experience is required, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
