Quality Associate Summer Intern (M04)

Job Description:

The Quality Associate Summer Intern in the QA Fractionation business unit will be responsible for Efficiency Improvement for Contract Intermediate Batch Release. This will entail identifying and removing redundancies between pooling/fractionation release and shipment batch release to streamline the process by utilizing gap analysis and/or spreadsheets. He/she will have the opportunity to observe other Quality Associates that perform manufacturing batch record review for Plasma Pooling through Fractionation Batch Release, Contract Intermediate export release, and Pre-pool Release of plasma pool shipments prior to processing.

Responsibilities include:

Collect, review and analyze process steps

Consult with personnel in cross-functional areas to define requirements

Communicate effectively and promptly, escalate any issues that require management decisions

Demonstrate high levels of values and integrity

Follow cGMP and department safety practices

Some tasks may be performed in a gowned, classified area including in +5°C or colder environments.

Schedule:

1st shift Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Requirements:

Candidates for the Quality Associate Summer Intern should be enrolled in a BS/BA degree program preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or other equivalent program

Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Candidates must have excellent communications skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints and must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Candidates with knowledge and understanding of cGMP principles and/or experience with SAP or other equivalent system preferred, but not required
