Manager that brings technical, project, analysis and leadership skills to spearhead growth and improvements in capacity and robustness of Grifols Plasma Logistics Center (GPLCE) operations.

  • Leads the execution of the Plasma Management strategy inclusive of the planned upgrade to existing facilities, the selection/up fit of additional warehouse operational spaces and the development of required process and system changes.

  • Identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies by observing processes, interviewing personnel and comparing to industry best practices. Introduces proposals and plans to implement changes to senior/executive management, drives the implementation upon senior/executive management approval.

  • Oversees appropriate coordination and execution of the departmental training programs. Guides training specialist at GPLCE to continually improve knowledge and skills of staff, monitors and maintains alignment with trainers at GPLCW.

  • Advise Inventory Reporting and Planning teams for task planning, operations scheduling, flow analysis and reporting as appropriate.

  • Oversees the timely problem resolution of donor, plasma procurement, testing and inspection discrepancies and CAPAs as assigned.

  • Contribute to the establishment of departmental performance objectives and measurements and generates/coordinates metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tracking.

Education & Experience

  • Position requires a Bachelor's degree or above in engineering/ technical field.

  • 8 years project or technical leadership experience required including participation in development/commissioning/deployment of capital equipment projects. Demonstrated experience of managing others to achieve business objectives. Project or technical leadership experience required. Supervisory or management experience preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify issues/hazards and provide creative solutions. Inventory operations planning, scheduling and reporting. Ability to establish priorities in scheduling and problem solving. Interface with customers, vendors. Excellent analytical skills and oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage employees with an understanding of individual limitations and abilities and balance task achievement and development. Computer fluency required with the ability to work in the Microsoft Office. May use statistical analysis systems, such as SAS JMP. Must have an overall perspective of business strategies and operational processes. Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and compliance requirements. Excellent and demonstrated project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw useful conclusions.

  • Work is generally performed in an office and/or manufacturing environment. Potential exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Occasional exposure to extreme cold below 32

  • , miscellaneous production chemicals, moving machinery and production equipment. Occasional exposure to high levels of noise on production floor. Situations may require personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks, climb stairs and occasionally may stoop, crawl or use ladder to access/view equipment. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
