POSITION SUMMARY:

A Quality Control (QC) Graduate Rotation position is available within the QC Department in Grifols Worldwide Operations (GWWO). Over the duration of 24 months, the successful candidate will rotate between the 4 departments:

  • Incoming Quality Control

  • QC Microbiology

  • QC Chemistry

  • QC Technical

The role supports the sampling and testing of material for the Secondary Packaging Facility in GWWO and the testing and release of raw materials, in process and final container testing of Albumin for the Aseptic Purification and Filling Facility in GWWO.

Key Responsibilities:

Rotation 1: Incoming Quality Control (6 months)

  • Perform sampling of raw materials/packaging materials in non-classified and cleanroom environment as required

  • Perform testing of raw materials/packaging materials as per procedures and as required per the Production plan

  • Ensure all Laboratory equipment used is maintained, calibrated and qualified as required in line with site procedures

  • Creation and updates of Raw Material Specification documents and other documentation as applicable to the Incoming Quality Control Laboratory

  • Participate in process/product/OOS investigations related to the Incoming Quality Control process as required

Rotation 2: QC Microbiology (6 months)

  • Processing of Environmental Monitoring and Personnel Monitoring samples (incubation, plate reading, results entry)

  • Creation an update of Laboratory documentation as required to the Microbiology Laboratory

  • Ensure all Laboratory equipment used is maintained, calibrated and qualified as required in line with site procedures

  • Participate in process/product/OOS or OOT investigations related to the QC Microbiology process as required

Rotation 3: QC Chemistry (6 months)

  • Carry out raw material, in-process and finished product chemistry and immunochemistry analysis as required

  • Creation an update of Laboratory documentation as required to the Chemistry Laboratory

  • Ensure all Laboratory equipment used is maintained, calibrated and qualified as required in line with site procedures

  • Participate in process/product/OOS or OOT investigations related to the QC Chemistry process as required

Rotation 4: QC Technical (6 months)

  • Assist with method transfers and optimization of QC methods

  • Assist with Qualification of analytical equipment and Computerised systems and related testing functions.

  • Perform QC KPI monitoring and compliance and Statistical Process Control tracking and trending

  • Coordinate and assist with various Lab Housekeeping tasks (Pipette Verification, Balance Checks, Inventory Management etc.)

  • Continuous Improvement project implementation

Person Specification

Qualifications

Minimum BSc/ BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or related field

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English

  • Strong technical writing skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner

  • Good organizational skills

  • Flexibility

  • Results Oriented
