SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist for our in-house social media team. Reporting to the Social Media Project Manager, you will be responsible for implementing organic and paid social media campaigns for Grifols Biopharma brands in the US and global markets.

We predominantly run campaigns on LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube, though we are open to investigating additional social platforms for our brands, such as TikTok and X.

This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign management and implementation. You will create, develop, and implement effective organic and paid social media campaigns to achieve marketing campaign goals and ROI.

  • Forecasting and budget allocations: You are responsible for setting budgets for social paid campaigns and optimizing social spending for the best ROI. You are expected to understand social KPIs and their application to different campaign objectives.

  • Content Creation: The content creation part of this role is twofold. Firstly, you are required to repurpose existing content (videos, website resources/PDFs, audio, and existing agency assets) into compelling and creative content for social media. You will also work closely with agencies to ensure their creative social content is optimized for social campaigns.

  • Measurement and reporting: You will collaborate closely with our data analytics team to prepare quarterly performance reports on social campaigns. You will compile and deliver performance reports for smaller campaigns using Sprout Social Advanced Analytics.

  • Consultancy and advice: This role will advise brands on social strategy and tactics to support their annual promotional objectives. This requires you to stay updated with industry developments and best practices in social media.

Skills and qualifications

  • 4-5 years experience as a social media specialist or in a similar role, with demonstrable experience implementing successful paid social campaigns.

  • 3rd level qualification in Marketing /Digital Marketing or a related field.

  • Native social media certifications, particularly Meta certification, are welcome.

  • Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge of GA4 reporting and attribution modelling.

  • Strong creative mindset and ability to think outside the box, bringing innovative ideas to social media campaigns and content creation.

  • Proficiency in Canva and Photoshop (or similar tools) for content creation.

  • Working knowledge of content calendar creation, management, and implementation.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with compliance and regulatory processes related to pharmaceutical social media is a significant plus though not a requirement.

  • Fluent in English. Fluency in other European languages is not a requirement but a definite plus (preferably Spanish or German)

  • Some social listening experience is an advantage though training will be provided.

Where and how you will work

The opportunity is primarily remote, with a requirement to be on-site 1 day a week. Occasionally you will be required to attend the office to facilitate visiting teams from the US or for on-site events. The offices are based in Grange Castle Business Park in Clondalkin.
