Summary:

The Government Pricing Analyst II is responsible for performing calculations and analysis for state and federal government programs managed by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ("CMS") such as Medicaid (Average Manufacturing Price ("AMP"), Best Price ("BP"), Unit Rebate Amount ("URA"), state reporting), Medicare Part B (Average Selling Price ("ASP")), the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (Public Health Service ("PHS")), and Veteran Affairs (Non-Federal Average Manufacturing Price ("NFAMP"), Federal Ceiling Price ("FCP"), Federal Supply Schedule ("FSS"), TRICARE, and Industrial Funding Fee ("IFF")). This role is dynamic in nature due to the evolving legislative and legal environments; therefore, it requires a strong ability to respond to change and a need for perpetual reprioritization to satisfy the demands of a rapidly changing internal and external environment.

Note: Preferred office location is RTP, NC headquarters but Grifols will consider candidates based remotely.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Performs calculations and analysis for government price types in accordance with Grifols methodology, standard operating procedures ("SOP"), work instructions, and governing rules and regulations.

  • Responsible for creating executive summaries and submitting the documents to the reviewer.

  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of governing laws, regulations, and policies and conforms accordingly while carrying out the accountability of the job.

  • Maintains compliance with the state and federal regulations controlling government price calculations.

  • Responsible for performing data ties between the government pricing system and the source systems for all data points.

  • Responsible for performing data analysis, communicating findings, and making recommendations

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating transactional data, domain table, blending relationships, policies, metrics, pricing, etc. in the government pricing.

  • Responsible for third party data analysis, conversion, and upload into the government pricing system.

  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of key information, understands and assists the Government Contracting team with Medicaid invoice processing; abides by standard operating procedures ("SOP") and work instructions.

  • Prepares and manages an array of government pricing reports and disseminates them to the corresponding stakeholders.

  • Gathers details required for creating or updating products in the Master Data Management system

  • Handles multiple priorities simultaneously and has strong attention to detail while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Provides supporting documentation and data for internal and external audits

  • Responsible for updating standard operating procedures ("SOP"), work instructions, and other documents.

  • Participates in system upgrades, enhancements, and patches and performs system updates.

  • Additional responsibilities/duties may be assigned to meet departmental goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have strong knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing the Government Pricing area (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, Veterans Affairs, Public Health Service, etc.).

  • Must be able to perform their duties independently or with a low level of supervision

  • Must have experience with performing government price calculations in the Model N (f.k.a. Revitas) Flex GP system.

  • Must be diplomatic, persuasive, and able to establish good rapport with a full spectrum of internal and external partners.

  • Advanced working knowledge with Microsoft Office products is required.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant fields is required.

Experience:

Must have 5+ years of related experience with 2+ years in pharmaceutical government price calculations and reporting.
