This position will be responsible for performing inspection, sampling, and release and complete assigned tasks related to release goals.
Primary responsibilities for role:
●Perform assigned tasks for their designated laboratory
●Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), perform assigned tasks such as: inspection, sampling and release of materials and labels to ensure quality of materials for production use
●Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning activities
●Legibly document inspection results in order to meet regulatory requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy per cGMPs
●Compile and enter release information into databases to be used for tracking and trending purposes ●Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), prepare buffers and critical reagents for QC
●Comply Site Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines.
o Experience with ANSI sampling, receipt, inspection and labeling of raw materials required.
o Understanding of cGMP aspects of a warehousing/QC laboratory operation
o Demonstrated knowledge of materials management and lean concepts.
o Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Office tools.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Familiar with QC and manufacturing processes are highly desirable.
o Familiar with Environmental/Utility/facility Monitoring tasks such as Sampling of manufacturing water, viable and non-viable particulate and surface monitoring of facilities and utilities,
o Familiar with Pharmacoepeial (compendial) test methods for Raw Materials such as, but not limited to; melting point, loss on drying, color and appearance, identity by FTIR, heavy metals, arsenic, residual solvents, chloride, sulphate, insoluble matter
Proficient in MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel software
Must have good time management, effectively prioritizing tasks for completion
Individual must work in an ethical manner and ensure employees follow Grifols ethics and compliance guidelines.
Must meet the two (2) mission critical competencies: 1)Customer Focus 2)Functional/Technical Skills
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical/In Vitro Diagnostic industry experience.
- At least 3 years experience in a regulated GMP testing laboratory
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level typically requires an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.
- May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 25 pounds in weight, and/or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 10 pounds in weight frequently or continuously.
