This position is responsible for packaging and shipping samples and finished plasma units, and the
receiving and processing of incoming supplies in an automated Source Plasma center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receives and verifies incoming supplies; records softgoods per IBBI procedures. Transfers supplies to
Retrieves online product certificates of sterility, as requested.
Performs all job duties in a safe manner and uses required personal protective equipment.
Inspects plasma samples for suitability (not lipemic or hemolyzed).
Packages and ships plasma units and samples per IBBI procedures and customer requirements.
Freezer preventative maintenance - Inspects the freezer for malfunctioning equipment and reports to
management; removes frost; maintains freezer organization and product segregation.
- Removes frozen product from racks and places into WIP storage. Contacts management or QA to
resolve issues with product, if any (such as rip on label, cracked bottle, unreadable barcode,
Maintains quarantine units in locked storage.
Monitors the storage temperature to verify it is within the specified range.
Ability to use computers (eProgesa automated system).
Interacts internally with center IBBI personnel.
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company Policies.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:

Interacts with other Interstate centers and with Corporate personnel. (Infrequently)
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
One year of college, technical school, or Associate’s degree preferred.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Explicit attention to detail is required.

Focusing Verifies cases to be shipped, verifies incoming supplies, minimizes
Reading Freezer temperature graphs, unit labels, Job Aids, Bills of Lading, SOPs,
Withstand Cold Ships samples, final packing of product, loads shipments of units,
preventive maintenance of freezers
Ability to work with toxic or caustic chemicals 20 - 30 % of the time.
Have exposure to outdoor weather conditions (shoveling or salting in the case of snowy weather).
Ability to read and understand documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, procedure manuals, correspondence.
Ability to write short correspondence.
Ability to speak, answer questions, and/or present information in small groups of customers, suppliers,
or employees of the company.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of
US dollars, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to use a spreadsheet.
Ability to read a calendar, an analog clock, and use a calculator.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in routine situations.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
