The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) role will act as a key technical and sales resource for the Bio Supplies Cell Therapy Commercial division. The TSM will actively liaise with all areas involved in the supply of Human Raw Materials for Cell Therapy production such as Marketing, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain. The TSM will apply their cell therapy knowledge, product expertise, market intelligence, and commerical skills to grow sales and profitability for the division.
Primary responsibilities:
Works independently to actively find new opportunites for the cell therapy product portfolio (Leukopaks, Male AB, OTC AB, etc…)
Coordinate with Supply, Operations and Quality Areas for the supply of such products.
Provide market intelligence and updates on ongoing trends for the assigned product lines
Explore additional collaborations and synergies with the current and potential customers
Establishes and forms relationships with key decision-makers and identifies the technical buyers
Represent the divison at key conferences within the EU and USA
Acts as a technical resource for the broader sales team providing product support, follows up on all product performance complaints or inquiries to ensure resolution
Manage a group of accounts within a specific territory: with responsbility for meetings sales targets; setting of budgets and forecasts.
Maintains and enhances technical knowledge on assigned product lines
Knowledge And Skills
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in the cell therapy sector with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience
Flexible, Organized and excellent communication skills required with a commercial focus.
Excellent level of English
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
MSc or PhD in a life science discipline required
Availability to travel up to 30%
