The Kiro integration team is responsible for providing internal and external support of HL7 interfaces to Kiro and it's customers. Integration Engineers work with the implementation team to accomplish the common goal of an on-time and successful system implementation. Activities include product interface and product implementation tasks. The Integration Engineer is responsible for design, validation and timely delivery of interfaces within the project scope.
Support of Kiro HL7 interface and infrastructure.
Support the Hospital Division's software & interface product development plan by developing code accordingly to established common objectives.
Together with other Software Product Specialists, Project Manager, Marketing Manager and General Manager, define and implement development plan of different Hospital Division's software technologies.
Coordinate and schedule the complete installation project of Hospital Division's software products at the customer’s site within the US & Canada in order to achieve optimal system functionality. Supervise and coordinate physical installation of equipment through 3rd parties, perform software installation & configuration, and customer application training.
Responsible for creating and develop training tools and technical documentation to support customer training on the use of the systems including the ability to identify and develop potential improvements at the customer site to the different Hospital Division software products. Follow-up with customers to ensure proper product usage, efficacy and performance of the system and leverage customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the development of software based training materials, technical documentation and other initiatives in collaboration with other Product Specialists, Product Manager and Marketing Manager.
Develop and maintain any necessary documentation for the best technical comprehension of the system.
Follow up and coordinate the Hospital Division sales network to support the software products training program.
Support the Hospital Division Sales network on software demonstrations via WebEx or at the customer site to provide deeper knowledge and expertise.
Support software products technical activities, in coordination with the Hospital Division Marketing Manager, the National Sales Manager and all the Account Executives, with the aim of taking advantage of available resources and analyzing the customer requirements and suggestions, to improve product design and functionality.
Assist the Technical Services and Marketing departments to ensure all goals and objectives of the department, Hospital Division and Grifols are executed in a professional, timely manner in accordance with Grifols’ procedures and SOP’s.
Provide software technical support and training to field Service Engineers/Call Center.
Troubleshot to identify technical problems and issues. This process includes identifying and fixing software related tasks.
Participate occasionally on special assignments to develop the service support requirements during the commercialization of new software products. Roles may include “Product Champion” (representing technical expertise and special training for a new product) and “Train the Trainer” (utilizing technical expertise and special training to train other product specialists team members.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. IT Certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft).Experience:
Possess 8+ years of experience in software and interface (HL7) design, development and installation.
Must have deep operational knowledge of HL7 Systems Interface protocol, Mirth, Iguana, SQL, IIS, Windows Operating Systems/Sever, Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience working with EMR systems such as Cerner, Medtech, Epic, Allscripts and GE Centricity preferred.
Intel based PC setup and configuration and an understanding of wireless communications applications.
IT networking/configuration also required.
Possess problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to consult on system functionality and integration.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to mentor and coach other employees.
