That’s why we need an Operational Excellence Specialist like you at Biomat SA, company dedicated to managing and performing quality control of the plasma used by Instituto Grifols SA as raw material for the production of plasma derivatives.

Your role mission will be to promote operational excellence of Biomat processes, in coordination with the various Biomat teams and the different managing entities or collaborating companies, to coordinate and monitor the implementation and evolution of projects within the plasma supply chain and their impact on Biomat S.A., to apply management techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc., for continuous process improvement and to participate in and oversee IT, GE and other projects. Monitor and encourage improvements to be deployed at Biomat S.A. as part of the ongoing pursuit of operational excellence, coordinated with the rest of Grifols companies.

What your responsibilities will be

  • Manage Biomat projects and incorporate standardization and Operational Excellence (OpEx) in execution.

Plan and participate in communication regarding project development.

Monitor project progress.

Plan milestones and tasks for projects.

Establish timelines for tasks and resources, and conduct risk analysis of projects.

Select, track, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide visibility into project development .

Participate in the development of cost-benefit analyses (business cases) for projects.

Promote a culture of operational excellence. Assist and encourage the implementation of continuous improvement tasks/projects across Biomat areas, under the operational excellence approach.

  • Continuous Improvement. Participate in the design/implementation of project management tools in coordination with OpEx Biopharma.

Lead and drive Standardization / Operational Excellence projects execution.

Create projects in the tool following OpEx Biopharma guidelines.

Provides proactive analytical and strategic insights on business performance.

Set up approval workflows in the appropriate tool.

Develop templates for documents at various project stages, as agreed with OpEx Biopharma.

Incorporate KPIs into the tool, in coordination with OpEx Biopharma, enabling quick project tracking.

Continuously work on the shift in mindset and behavior regarding operational excellence and continuous improvement across work streams throughout the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with Biomat quality standards.

Monitor controls that ensure adherence to quality standards for operational excellence management and new projects.

Participate in the development of documentation for project management and continuous improvement activities.

  • Promote process digitization and the adoption of new technologies at Biomat S.A.

Evaluate tasks within various Biomat processes that could be digitalized and encourage change.

Assess the benefits of digitalizing evaluated processes and analyze associated risks.

Participate in digitalization projects as they arise.

Apply new technologies in project management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Engineering or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably, in the GMP pharmaceutical sector.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other tools as Smartsheet, Power BI and/or Jira.

  • Requires an in depth understanding and experience with Project Management and Lean Methodology. Having a certificate is highly valuable.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations and industry guidelines.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Proactive, results oriented and have strong attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment and have the ability to work well with multifunctional teams.

  • Demonstrate ability to stay calm under stress and uncertainty, influencing the same in the team.

  • Be available to travel occasionally.
