Position Overview:

**If candidate resides in NC, this position will primarily sit in our RTP, NC headquarters. If selected candidate resides outside of NC this can be a remote position.

The Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Government Pricing is responsible for performing the day to day department activities in support of all federal and state government pricing programs in accordance with Grifols methodology, including: Medicaid (AMP, BP, URA, State Reporting), Medicare Part B (ASP), the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (PHS), Veteran Affairs (NFAMP, IFF, ANFAMP, FCP), and State Formulary requirements. The Sr. Analyst, Government Pricing is responsible for staying current on government regulations and provides support to the Government Pricing Manager and Director in certain areas of Government Price calculation and reporting. The Sr. Analyst, Government Pricing must have the ability to respond to a high volume of work with a high level of intensity dictated by the requirement for absolute accuracy within an expedited turnaround time; this position is dynamic in nature due to the evolving legislative and legal environment; therefore, it requires an ability to respond to change and a need for constant reprioritizing to satisfy demands of rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Accountable for executing, analyzing, documenting and the submission of all mandated product and pricing obligations for all federal and state government programs in accordance with Grifols methodology, including: Medicaid (AMP, BP, URA, State Reporting), Medicare Part B (ASP), Office of Pharmacy Affairs (PHS), Veteran Affairs (NFAMP, IFF, ANFAMP, FCP, TRICARE), and State Formulary requirements; analyze root causes for variances within a designated threshold for all Government Price calculations and create presentations for senior management and the Executive Summary including gathering all necessary signatures

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the laws, regulations, and policies that pertain to the organizational business unit and conforms with these laws, regulations, and policies in carrying out the accountability of the job

  • Responsible for understanding and communicating the impact of legislation and/or guidance changes to the Government Pricing Manager and Director

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships to facilitate the exchange of key information, understand and address needs, and clarify Government Pricing requirements with internal and external customers

  • Responsible for performing ties between the Government Pricing system and the source system for all data points

  • Responsible for assisting the Government Contracting team with Medicaid invoice processing during heavy invoice processing periods; abide by the Government Contracting guidelines while processing Medicaid invoices

  • Assist in the development of corporate financial reports (GTNs, forecasts, budgets, accruals) as they relate to government markets

  • Assist the Government Contracting department with calculating and validating quarterly Unit Rebate Amounts (URAs) under the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, SPAP and other government contracts

  • Gather product details required for creating and/or updating products in Master Data Management

  • Responsible for updating the Government Pricing Manager and Director with changes related to Government Price reporting, products, contracts, etc.

  • Assist the Government Pricing Manager and Director with projects and/or reports, as needed to ensure the department achieves its goals

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, with strong attention to detail, while meeting strict deadlines

  • Assist with the updates and finalization of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instruction documents

  • Participate in internal and external audits, when needed, and demonstrate compliance with policies, laws, and regulations

  • Assist with requirement documentation and testing for information technology system upgrades, enhancements and patches

  • Additional responsibilities/duties may be assigned to meet departmental goals

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics or Related Field Required; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Analyst : 2 or more years solid work experience in a related industry, with 1 or more years of experience in the Government Pricing area in the pharmaceutical industry is desired

  • Sr. Analyst : 4 or more years solid work experience in a related industry, with 2 or more years of experience in the Government Pricing area in the pharmaceutical industry is desired

  • Must be able to understand the various inter-dependencies of pricing and financial analyses and a thorough understanding of various regulatory concepts applicable to government reporting

  • Must have some experience working with 5i products

  • Must be able to perform their duties independently or with a low level of supervision

  • Must possess strong business, analytical and organizational skills

  • Must be diplomatic, persuasive and able to establish good rapport with a full spectrum of internal and external partners

  • Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite is required

  • Must be able to work with vast amounts of data

  • In-depth knowledge of Government Pricing calculations in the Model N (f.k.a. Revitas) Flex GP system is required

  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are required

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, with strong attention to detail, while meeting strict deadlines

  • Excellent planning and time management skills

  • Solid concept of algebraic and financial formulas

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to work as part of a collaborative team

  • Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret and use data in problem solving and process improvement

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
