Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc Master Mechanic, Facilities Maintenance in San Diego, California
Master Mechanic will be responsible for all MEP Building Maintenance, training, scheduling, prioritizing and coordinating daily activities for San Diego site facilities.
Work closely with supervisor and GPO Facilities members maintaining clear communication of all maintenance activities, progress of jobs, recommendations, assign electrical and plumbing task to in house technicians and vendors and prioritizing work requests.
Will oversee other mechanics daily assignments, provide training when needed, and transfer knowledge to increase skill level.
Must be familiar and have applied experience with the following equipment: VAV/CAV's , AHU’s, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Freezers, Cold Rooms and various automated controls systems systems for such.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot HVAC andFreezer equipment.
Must have direct applied knowledge and experience on building management systems (BMS) software (or building automation system software) such as Siemens, Andover, Emerson/Delta V.
Must be able to perform tasks such as painting, dry wall repair, caulking and trimming. Perform plumbing activities , general housekeeping while maintaining tool storage area and order supplies.
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical control circuits and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawing. Ensure repairs to systems such as changing motors, replace bearings, belts, filters, compressors expansion valves. Detailed planning and documentation of all calibrations troubleshooting and repair activities. Assist supervisor and peer technicians as required in overseeing contractor performance of maintenance activities.
Must be available and willing to be "on-call" during off-hours, weekends and holidays and emergencies situations as needed.
- High School Diploma Required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
7 to 10 years Master level with R/HVAC, electrical & controls, and leading maintenance activities
Master level knowledge of Refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, automation controls, VFDs, welding, overhead door, building maintenance (painting, lights, doors, windows, ect.).
Basic Grounds maintenance (landscaper, sprinkler system).
Strong knowledge with Lock out tag out procedure, fall protection, confine space, ladder safety.
Trouble shoot any issues that may arise, able to work with little or no supervision, travel from one site to the other, able to direct vendors when needed.
BMS, Computerized maintenance management system experience (ie Maximo), MS Office skills, windows, outlook, excel.
