Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director to lead our Demand & Supply Planning team based in Vista, California. This position will play a critical role in optimizing our demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain operations to meet the needs of our clients in the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries. As a key member of our leadership team, the Associate Director will drive strategic initiatives to ensure alignment between demand projections and supply capabilities, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust demand forecasting models and methodologies tailored to the diagnostics and pharmaceutical markets to accurately anticipate future demand trends and client requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to gather market intelligence and incorporate insights into demand planning processes, ensuring alignment with client needs and business objectives.

  • Lead the development of inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize product expiration, and enhance inventory turnover, while maintaining high service levels and client satisfaction, performing scenario analysis to understand shortages impacts, demand upside/downside, etc. to supply plan record, while managing product transitions in order to minimize risk of E&O and aging inventory.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to optimize production scheduling, capacity planning, and supplier performance to meet client demand requirements and ensure timely delivery of products.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and on-time delivery metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Demand & Supply Planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on demand and supply plans to support client needs and business objectives.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in demand forecasting, supply chain management, and inventory optimization to drive strategic initiatives and maintain a competitive edge ensuring simplification and consolidation to articulate the appropriate model and design that fits industry best practices.

  • Support coordinated BU efforts towards meeting and/or exceeding BG figures, as well as committed OPEX.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degree recommended.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Pay scale of $144,368.00 - $216,552.00 per year for California based candidates, depending on training, education and experience. This position is eligible to participate in up to 15% of the company bonus pool. We offer benefits including medical, PTO, up to 5% 401K match, and tuition reimbursement.
